Bullnose Rudder Questions
It is made for a 1 1/8" (1.125") diameter shaft. The clamps are
not adjustable. However, if the shaft is slimmer, no worries. There is
double-sided foam tape provided in the packaging to shim a thin shaft.
No. The clamps are not adjustable.
The rudder itself does not tend to collect excess plants or weeds.
The plastic is durable and will withstand salty waters, but, as with most metal, the hardware may be prone to rust without proper care.
Manufacturing, assembling and packaging is done in the USA, providing jobs to the local community. The Bullnose Rudder was invented and patented by the founders of Bullnose Products here in the USA.

Tip Down-Tip Up Questions
Additional clips are sold separately. If you plan on using multiple fishing rods, additional clips are recommended so it's not necessary to remove the clip every time you switch rods. It is also nice to have extra clips on hand in case one falls down the fishing hole! Comes with a quantity of two (2) clips per pack.
We currently have two Ice Fishing Tip Down-Tip Ups. They are similar in design, but "Original Blue" is smaller, fitting most spinning reels and some smaller straight-line reels. "Big Red," by contrast, is a taller version used for both larger reels and heavier line, in addition to smaller reels and lighter line.
The frame, when unfolded sitting upright, holds itself nice and sturdy. When a fish goes for the bait at the end of the line, the rod points down into the hole while the frame stays strong. However, on the off chance a fish were to pull the frame towards the hole, our Tip Down-Tip Ups measure between 8"-10.5" when upright open. So if your hole is smaller than the frame height, you should be good to go.
You set the hook. There is no spring-like mechanism used. The steel frame holds the rod while it balances, allowing it to naturally jig in the water. When you notice some activity happening at the end of the line, quickly lift the rod and set the hook.
No. The frames are designed to balance freely on the frame; there are no spring-like settings. You need to be within reach, monitoring the rod, ready to set your hook.
Auger Stopper Questions
The adapter measures 3/4” (0.71") in diameter, designed to fit inside a 1” diameter auger shaft. It is strongly recommended that you double-check your shaft measurements before ordering.
Yes, it should fit just fine. We always tell customers, "Companies tend to have a variety of different make and models, so always double-check your measurements before ordering."
Customers have confirmed that they have had success with it on their Strikemaster HAND Auger. But not all makes and models are the same, so always double-check measurements before purchasing.
No. The shaft on a Gas Auger is larger than the shaft on a Hand Auger. The adapter will not work due to the incorrect shaft diameter.
